Convergence

Beginning

This is my attempt to better understand a wide range of “convergence” processes in mathematics. I will begin with the transition from rational to real numbers. The need for the concept of convergence will arise out of the inadequacies of rational numbers, as we shall see in the primordial case of the square root of 2 — \(\sqrt 2\).

Some ideas: set theory convergences (axiom of choice, Zorn, induction); linear algebra (weak/strong, etc.), integration theory.
